Patriotic Home Decor

Decorating your home with seasonal projects is easy with Joy® embroidered letters! 

You will need:

• Joy® Iron On Embroidered Letters - 3"
• Wood sign
• chipboard gear set
• Pickling Wash
• craft paint - dark gray
• paint brushes
• burlap ribbon - 1 yd
• glitter paint - clear
• adhesive foam star
• stencil - brick design
• stencil paste
• lo-temp glue gun

Instructions:

1. Cover the entire front of the wood piece with Pickling Wash. White paint would also work, but I love this one because it looks vintage.

2. Use modeling paste and a stencil to add some texture to the sign. Let the paste dry, then lightly swipe across the top of the texture with paint on a dry sponge.

3. Sponge dark gray paint onto the chipboard pieces. Let dry then add glitter paint.  Adhere to the sign front using a low temp glue gun.

4. Remove the backing from the embroidered letters to reveal the adhesive, then place on top of the gears.

5. Create a bow with long tails from burlap ribbon then glue at the top of the sign as shown. Attach the small star to the ribbon tail.
