Pack some Summer Fun

Summer weather is here! Time to pack a bag with Summer essentials, ready to hit the road.  

Simple to make, this bag is perfect for packing magazines, books, bikini and suntan lotion! 

You will need:

• Joy® embroidered iron-on letter sheet - 1" black 
• Joy® embroidered iron-on floral appliqué - daisies
• canvas bag - white
• 1/2 yd 1-1/2" black & white chevron and 2/3 yd 5/8" black & white print ribbon
• scissors
• fabric adhesive
• iron and ironing board
• pressing cloth

Instructions: 

1. Press the canvas bag to remove any wrinkles.  Cut a piece of chevron ribbon the width of the front of the bag.  Fold the rough ends under then press in place.  Adhere to the top of the bag.

2. Position the flowers and the letters on the bag.  Following manufacturer's directions, use the pressing cloth, then adhere the letters and appliqué to the bag.

 

 
3. Create  2 shoestring bows with 1" loops and 1-1/2" tails from 10" pieces of 5/8" ribbon and trim the tails at an angle.  Adhere one bow at the base of bag handle on each side.
