Plaid Tidings Embroidery Hoop Ornament

Create a Quick'n EZ ornament to decorate your home for the holidays!

You will need:

• Joy® Baby Monogram Iron On Embroidered Letters, White
• Red and Black Buffalo Plaid Flannel
• Iron
• Scissors
• 4" Embroidery Hoop
• Black Acrylic Paint
• Pine Craft Stem
• Craft Glue
• Ribbon and Twine
• Jingle Bell

Instructions:

1. Paint the embroidery hoop with black acrylic paint.
2. Cut a piece of flannel larger than the hoop then arrange the letters, shiny side down at the center of the flannel.  Note: Hold the hoop over the fabric to make sure they fit.
   
    
   
   
3. Set iron to cotton setting, approx. 350° or follow fabric care label. Cover letters with a fine cloth then,  with firm pressure, iron cloth over the letters for 25 seconds.  Turn the flannel over and iron the back of the letters for 25 seconds.
4. Allow 1 minute to cool before handling, insert the flannel into the embroidery hoop then trim the excess flannel from around the edge of the hoop.
5. Glue pine craft stem around the outside edge of the hoop to then embellish the top with ribbon and a jingle bell as shown.  
6. Add a piece of red twine to hang.
