November is a month of changing seasons. It is a time of giving thanks for food, comfort and plenty.
Here is a vignette I created to celebrate the season in which we give thanks and enjoy the company of family and friends. Joy embroidered letters are perfect for creating keepsakes for all occasions, as well as decorating any fabric surface.
Wishing you a JOY filled season of warmth, love and thanks!
Materials:
Joy embroidered letters
10 small acrylic sign holders (mine are from Deflecto)
Cardstock in green, brown, orange
Fall-themed scrapbook papers with designs on both sides
Seasonal stickers or chipboard die-cuts
Brown ink pad, sponge
Tape runner, dimension adhesive foam squares
Paper trimmer, scissors
Instructions:
1. Trim the cardstock for each letter's background to fit the sign holders, alternating the colors.
2. Trim the patterned papers 1/2" smaller than the cardstock and coordinate the colors to match the cardstock.
3. Color the edges of the papers using the sponge and the ink pad.
4. Adhere the patterned paper to the cardstock, positioned with extra space at the top as shown.
5. Insert the papers into each holder and adhere one letter to the top of each.
6. Embellish with stickers or die-cuts to the top of the holder using a 3-d foam dot. **Designer tip: If you are using thin stickers; peel and adhere each sticker to a piece of cardstock and cut out, leaving a 1/8" cardstock border. This will give body to the sticker. Apply using a foam dot.
