Easter Baskets for the Egg Hunt!

Add a little excitement to this year's egg hunt with personalized baskets!


You will need:
  • Joy® Iron-On Baby Monogram Letters - Pink
  • Fabric bunny basket from the Dollar Tree or other dollar store
  • Iron and press cloth

Instructions:
1. Remove needed letters from the sheet then position as desired.


2. Cover the letters with a lightweight press cloth.


3. Following the directions on the packaging, use an iron to fuse the letters in place.


4. Fill with Easter grass and repeat for each member of the hunt!

Personalized Burp Cloths

Personalize Burp Cloths for that special little one!


You will need:
  • Joy® Embroidered Letter sheet - Baby Monograms Letters & Numbers
  • Flannel: 3 solids or prints, 1/3 yard each
  • Scissors
  • Sewing Machine
  • Thread
  • Iron

Instructions:

1. Place three layers of fabric on top of each other and cut out in a free form eight shape as shown below.  (Approximately 18" long, 9" wide on the two ends and 7" wide in the middle).


2. Layer fabric with right sides facing out in desired order.


3. Sew together with a 3/4" - 1" seam around the outer edge.  Clip around the outer edge every 1/2" or so.


4. Machine wash and dry.  This will fluff the outside edge.

5. Remove the letters needed for the name, then position on the burp cloth.  Cover with a pressing cloth then,  following the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging, press in place.

Monogrammed Scout "Mom Pin" Necklace

Monogram your scout mother's pride rank pin necklace with Joy® embroidered letters!



You will need:
  • Joy® Iron-On Classic Monogram Letter sheet 
  • Scout pin necklace
  • Iron
  • Pressing cloth


Instructions:
  1. Using the directions on the back of the package heat set the letters of choice (initials) to the back of the necklace, where it fits at the back of your neck.

Now you have a personalized pin necklace for each boy or girl in the scout program and there'll be no doubt as to who each necklace belongs to!

My Book Nook

Protect your favorite books with a customized Book Nook using 
Joy® embroidered letters and flower applique's!


You will need:
  • Joy® Iron-on Embroidered Flower appliqué
  • Joy® Iron-on, Embroidered letter sheets - 1" white
  • A zippered passport pouch
  • Permanent colored marker
  • Fabric glue




Instructions:
  1. Color the letters with the marker.
  2. Using the fabric glue, adhere the letters and flower appliqué to the front of your pouch.  Note: Depending of the type of cover, the letters and appliqué can also be secured by an iron and pressing cloth following manufacturer's directions on the back of each package.

Lucky Number 3 Kids Birthday Shirt

Making a special shirt for a special someone for a very special occasion is really easy when you have 
Joy® Iron-On embroidered letters...

When you're the third brother, the third grandkid, the third grandson and...
it's your birthday and you're turning three - it's a BIG deal and you need a special shirt!
You will need:
Joy® iron-on embroidered letter sheet
Joy® iron-on embroidered number
Shirt


Instructions:
  1. Set iron to cotton setting, approx. 350°, or follow garment care label.
  2. Remove letters from the sheet.  Position, shiny side down on the t-shirt.
  3. Cover letters with a fine cloth.  With firm pressure, press the letters for 30 seconds.
  4. Turn t-shirt inside out and iron the back of the letters for 30 seconds.
  5. Allow to cool for about one minute before handling. Turn shirt inside out when washing.

Say Hello with Flowers Door Décor

Spring is in the air and it is time to freshen Home Décor. 
Say "Hello" with Flowers Door Décor! You can pick up a wood piece and hoop at the local department store and simply add Joy® Iron-on letters and felt flowers.



You will need:
Joy® Iron-On letter sheets in color choice
Wood piece approximately 10" x 12-14"
10" hoop
9" x 12" craft cuts Kunin Felt: (1 piece each in three color choices) 
Fabri-tac by Beacon
Scissors
Ruler
Needle and thread



Instructions:

1. The wood piece was already painted with a rope hanger. Remove inner hoop.  Center then glue to the wood piece.  You can use the outer hoop for another project.

2. There are several types of felt flowers and you can find many tutorials. For a spiky flower cut a strip about 4" wide and simply begin cutting a jagged peak and valley cut as shown.

3. Gather with thread along the straight edge and pull tight. Roll up then glue to secure. Add another strip to create a larger flower. 


4. To create the mum, cut a 4" strip and fold in half. Cut through from the folded side to 1/2" from edge. Make even cuts all along. Roll and Glue.


5. Create an easy rosette by cutting a 5" circle 5" into a wavy spiral. Starting at the outer end, roll up toward the center then glue in place. 

6. Glue the flowers in place on the hoop as shown.

7. Center the letters on the wood inside the hoop, then glue in place.


Enjoy creating something special for spring! 
You could personalize this design by adding  your family name or "WELCOME".

Lucky Rainbow and Shamrock Wreath

Personalizing everything and anything, including a Lucky Rainbow and Shamrock Wreath is quick and easy with Joy® embroidered letters!  


You will need:
  • Joy® Embroidered Letters - 1 1/2" Cooper, White - LUCKY and two STARS
  • Rainbow Shamrock Wreath - Tutorial
  • Spray Paint - Gold
  • Craft Paint - Holographic Glitter, Gold
  • Paintbrush
  • Paper Plate
  • Paper Towels





Instructions:

1. In a well-ventilated area (or outside) spray the letters LUCKY and two STARS with gold spray paint.  Set aside to dry.


2. Once dry, place gold letters and stars onto a paper plate.  Apply a thick coat of gold holographic glitter craft paint to letters and stars with a paintbrush.  This paint will be milky white when applied but will dry clear and super glittery! 


3.  Peel the liner paper from the back of the embroidered letters, starting with the "C" and place it in the center.  Apply the remaining letters to spell LUCKY and add a STAR on both ends to finish.



A fun twist would be to add your family name to this wreath with Joy® embroidered letters, the possibilities are endless!

Personalized Music Tote Bag

Create a Personalized Tote to carry Music Books back and forth to Lessons. This will also help to keep you organized because you will always know where your music books are! 


You will need:
  • Joy® Embroidered Letters, your choice
  • Tote
  • Fabric, 1/3 yard
  • Heat and Bond, 1/3 yard
  • Beaded Trim, 2/3 yard
  • Fabric Tac
  • Iron


Instructions:
1. Cut two. 6" pieces of fabric by the width of the tote.  Following the manufacturer's instructions, apply heat and bond to the fabric pieces then attach to the front of the tote about 1" from the top and bottom edges, leaving space between the two pieces.

2. Place your choice of embroidered letters at the center of the tote.  Center the name at the top of the space with MUSIC and BAG below.  


3. Cover with a pressing cloth then, following manufacturer's instructions, iron the letters in place.


4. Glue the beaded trim around the top edge of the bag.  

5. Cut a 3/4" wide piece of fabric the length of the bag.  Fold in half, press firmly then glue over the top edge of the beaded trim to give it a finished look.


6. Give it to the recipient to enjoy!!

"Word of the Year" Paint Poured Mini Canvas

Create a "Word of the Year" canvas using your own paint poured canvas as the background!


You will need:
  • Joy® Iron-On Baby Monogram Letters - white
  • 3"x3" paint poured canvas
  • Iron and press cloth
  • Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 4PK - Journaling Cards, Flowers & Leaves die cut flowers
  • White gel pen
  • Quilling paper - moss, blue 


Instructions:

1.  Choose your "Word of the Year".
2.  Select a paint poured canvas from your stash.
3.  Peel the letters and position as desired.



4. Heat set the letters using the directions on the back of the package.


5.  Decorate die cut flowers with white gel pen.


6. Layer then adhere flower to canvas.


7.  Use quilling paper to create flower center, stem and leaves.  Glue in place.


8.  Use gel pen to draw line around canvas edge.
